Welcome to our new website!

The purpose of this site is to provide an accessible central reference point for all Parish Council decisions and notices that parishioners are entitled to know about. Every month the elected Parish Councillors form an meeting to discuss duties of care that ensure local facilities are well maintained and the concerns of local residents are met. The topics of discussion are detailed in the Agenda’s that can be read via this site. The actions and decisions of the meetings are captured in the Minutes that are equally transparent and open to further comment.

Beyond that, this website also acts an an online noticeboard for all local events and activities and we openly encourage residents to get in touch to post news of their own.

    Dear Clerk to the Council.
Re the defibrillator at the post office in Georgeham.
The person who did a monthly check on the defib has moved away and a replacement is sought. Can you arrange for a volunteer to do this, please. No first aid knowledge is required and I will be most willing to show her or him what needs to be done.
    1. This person will be required once a month to check that the screen in the defibrillator is showing a green tick and to let South West Ambulance Services Trust know that all is well by completing a very simple online check.
    2. This is also a good time to wipe the cabinet with a paper cloth, if required
    3. She or he should also be aware of the expiry date of the pads and batteries and let the Council be aware of an imminent need for replacements and to do the change – about once every four or five years unless it has been deployed.
    4. In the event of any problem to contact me (Barrie Charlesworth) for guidance.

I will check it this month and advise SWAST.

    Regards, Barrie Charlesworth. (01271 813816, barriebudge@gmail.com)
